Essence was an interactive digital project by Buried Thunder exploring the relevance of astrology in 2021. Using movement, music, text and film, Essence explored how relationships with star-signs depend on beliefs held by an individual, and how such a belief (or lack of) influences our identities. Essence ran from 10/04/2021 - 24/04/2021.

Coming Of Age by Grand Gesture is inspired by the poem, Crabbit Old Woman. This is written as if by an old woman in a nursing home who is reflecting upon her earlier life. It highlights the importance of maintaining the dignity and visibility of older people. Performed at The Place at Resolution Festival 2022. A music dance project filmed at The Institute of Virtual Production in collaboration with Dancer Mansi Harvey, and various other Uni of Surrey grads and researchers, with support from Target3D and Digital Catapult. This project was briefed to me as a rock ballad with lyrics and themes about the Cherry Tree Orchard and the Forest Nymth that lies within.
